Way back when, I went to Oxford & Central, then acted. Lots of Mr Bingley-style roles; West End; touring; some Fringe. I auditioned, had highs, lows and a few headshot sessions. But the camera had its way…
I retrained at Photofusion, and since 2010 I’ve made it my full-time business to become a headshot expert.
Which is where you [might] come in! I love working with actors, so I’d love to work with you.
My experience means I understand how important and nerve-wracking headshots can be.
That’s not enough by itself. But combined with subtle lighting, photography and direction. And with keen insight into what modern casting needs from your photos. Then that, I think, is a recipe for great headshots.
So, do explore the site and just get in touch if you’d like to discuss working together!
I don’t just take headshots, I’m deeply involved in the industry. I’m founder member and Chairman of the Association of Professional Headshot Photographers. To stay ahead (and because I’m interested) I write and research about headshots too. I’m frequently published in The Stage, write a blog, and lead headshot and casting workshops at Drama Schools, Industry events and for groups like Equity or The Actors Guild. You can watch my Take Control of Your Headshots webseries too.
